WARBL Configuration Tool 1.1

WARBL is a plug-and-play USB MIDI wind controller designed to cater to traditional musicians, enabling them to practice with headphones while maintaining familiar playing techniques. Emulating a variety of open-tonehole wind instruments like tin whistles, flutes, and bagpipes, WARBL features optical sensors and real toneholes for continuous finger sensing and a realistic feel. Additionally, an air-pressure sensor allows for playing with breath or a bagpipe bag.

It's important to note that WARBL does not produce sound independently but is specifically crafted to interface with hardware MIDI sound modules or MIDI sound module apps like AppCordions' "Celtic Sounds" or Roland Sound Canvas, commonly run on iOS devices.

The WARBL Configuration Tool grants users complete control over various aspects such as air pressure sensitivity, vibrato/pitch bend, expression, among other settings, empowering you to customize and save configurations suiting your preferences.

Featuring the capability to store up to three preset instrument configurations like Whistle, Uilleann Pipes, and Great Highland Bagpipes, WARBL comes equipped with programmable buttons on the back that facilitate easy switching between presets, octave adjustment, sending MIDI messages, and several additional functionalities.

To begin using WARBL, simply connect it to your device by plugging it into an Apple USB Camera Adapter linked to the Lightning port. Then launch the app, select "Connect WARBL" on the control panel, and commence configuring your device.

Once connected successfully, the status indicator will display "WARBL Connected" at the top of the page, while the tone hole status indicator at the bottom will light up in blue when respective holes are covered.
